When will she come?!

I'm a week overdue today.  Anyone on here who can give some reassurance, who's been through this before???

My first came (on her own, not induced) at 41w4d.  I was so sure I would be at least 9 days overdue so I didn't get bummed until day 10 with no sign of her coming out.  She will be here any day now.  People dont stay pregnant forever!  You will eventually go into labor despite what most OBs seem to think.

My first was 5 days late, I figured my second would be late too, but DS was really late. I had him at 42w1d, went into labor at 42w the night before my scheduled induction. It was not fun to wait that long, but I'm glad I waited to go into labor on my own and that I had an OB who was supportive of that. Aside from extra monitoring, everything was totally normal. Good luck, it will happen soon I'm sure!

My first was born at 41w and my 2nd was born at 41w4d, both spontaneous.  Remember, average gestation age for first time moms is 41w1d.  Your body is doing exactly what it should be doing, keeping baby safe until she is ready to be born.  Hang in there mama!
