Hi!!! My DH job will have us there for about 2 years or more. Have you heard of Calliope? I think that may be where we will be.

No unfortunately I haven't heard of Calliope, but we have another member of the board who is in Far North Queensland. She may have heard of it. What kind of information are you looking for; prices, housing, etc?

Hi! They are have a project there ( engineer) and I can't speak the engineer language lol. We are originally from the South ( AL, GA) but are currently living in Chicago burrrrrr

This reminds me of our discussion yesterday: I just heard the name Calliope for the first time a few weeks ago (from a rerun of Grey's Anatomy) and I love it!

Welcome to the board.  My SO & I are moving to Brisbane next week so I'm glad I'm not the only Australia newb.  We're going to Fraser Island over Easter weekend and it looks like that's half way between you and me!
