NCR: Clothes for an interview... help please!

I have an interview on Monday for a support job at a company that does websites for boarding schools.  I really don't know what to wear.  I'm going to have to go shopping, so, what do I need?  I have black pants, but that's pretty much it.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.  Also, best stores for this kind of thing?  I don't do a lot of clothes shopping, so I'm a little out of the loop.

  • I thought it was pretty standard to wear a business suit. That's what I've been wearing to all my interviews. I got mine from Ann Taylor.
  • A suit with a button down dress shirt under. Simple jewelry and simple pumps that match your suit.

  • Okay, thanks ladies.  I wasn't sure if suits were still the way to go.

Suites are ALWAYS the way to go! Check out AT, I always like their fit, they have a few, and they should be able to get you a great base look to build off of.

  • I agree that  a suit is the way to go.  Since I rarely need a suit, I just bought mine at Express.  Less expensive that AT, but still good quality for an interview.
    No Siggy

  • Suits are always classic and a safe bet, but these days I think a black pencil skirt with a conservative blouse is sharp for an interview (and possibly more memorable).  Good luck with your interview!
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • i have a few suits from jcrew and love them.

imo you can never dress too nicely for an interview, and should dress as well as possible.
