Old friend of mine (I used to be her youth leader) is on the outs with her brother's wife, who I actually like, because said wife not only shows independent backbone but helps the brother do the same... You know, they behave like independent adults. When the couple shared they were expecting at a family birthday party, my friend posted the news on Facebook without checking with them, and the wife hadn't been able to tell her parents yet so they found out via Facebook. Tension built and friend (IMO) has repeatedly shown a lack of boundaries and judgment.
So they just had their baby on Wednesday. I see a post tonight on friend's Facebook feed announcing they dd a newborn picture session today...and posted the link and PASSWORD in the status. I texted her brother and asked if they had approved that and got a "Hell no, WTF???" I then posted to her to maybe use some other means of sharing her new niece's picture... She took the post down but chalked it up to her brother and his wife not "getting Facebook.". Yes...because sharing other people's passwords AND baby pictures before they have is smaaaaaart.
Re: ::facepalm:: re Facebook
What an idiot!
I'm so tired of FB and the crap that people pull with it

This. Beyond that I think it is rude to post pictures of someone else's kids without their permission. Some people are very sensitive about pics of their kiddos on the web. (and rightly so.)
Ha, apparently she is too. She made a rather dramatic post that she needs to deactivate for a while as there is too much drama related to Facebook... Thus still clueless that she's the one responsible for this latest round. Oh, the irony!
More facepalm. I think I'm going to try to give it up for Lent. We'll how long that lasts.

Ah yes. The mysterious messages are the best. I know someone that posts her relationship updates like this:
"Too little too late. You know"
"Be careful what you wish for...I wasn't"
