Do I need to file a police report?
Somebody put a pretty good ding in my car. I think it happened while we were at the movies, but I'm not sure. Do I need to file a report for insurance purposes.
Not sure if this pic will work from my phone...
Anyway
Re: Do I need to file a police report?
I would say yes, the sooner the better. It can never hurt to have too much paperwork for the insurance company.
I am not sure how it would work though if you're not exactly sure...
That's what my sister did. Her car was kicked a couple of times. She still had to pay her own deductible (obvi) and the insurance company said she didn't HAVE TO file the report with police but it was nice to have a record of it.
