yup- just interrupted Charlie Brown on ABC to report it.
I'm surprised but not shocked......kinda like Anna Nicole Smith. KWIM?
I feel awful for Bobby Kristina. I've heard she has some issues too. Poor kid. Yeah its shocking, but its not. She has been messed up for years. She is making a movie I think with Jordan Sparks and it was rumored she was doing really well.
Just said this to my husband. That poor girl.

I used to work (as a teenager) at Blockbuster in Morristown and Whitney (along with Bobby Brown and her daughter) used to come in there ALL the time!
especially a kids show...they interrupted charlie brown!
oh FFS.
I agree with you on that.
What a shame
I agree, I'm surprised that they'd interrupt a children's show for that announcement. I was out of the house when the news came out ... I DVRed the show and I'm watching it now, and had I been watching it live that dramatic Special Alert bulletin (plus the warning about kids watching the announcement before they actually said what had happened) would've scared the shiit out of me that something really catastrophic had happened. Even watching the recorded announcement after the fact was kind of disturbing.
Wait!! WHAT? They cut in ch. 7 to announce? REALLY?
I mean she was huger then huge like 20 years ago, but it couldnt wait until the show was over for a cut-in? And I agree I would have been scared out of my mind that something catastrophic was happening
Yeah, there was a 5-4-3-2-1 countdown on the screen and they didn't have the Whitney Houston-Dead tagline on the screen until the newscaster actually started saying it. Before that he said (paraphrased) "We have some breaking news, and we know this is a children's program so you may want to keep them away from the TV for this announcement." I'm glad I wasn't watching it live because I would've been all like, "OMGWE'REBEINGBOMBEDPANICPANICPANIC!!!!!!!!"
I agree, I know it's pretty big news but I'm surprised they interrupted anything for it.
I have the ABC news alerts on my phone and I was surprised that it took a while to pop up. I was with my brother at the time and a friend texted him with the news, and (thinking of all those "OMG Eminem died!!!" hoaxes) I went to check the legit news sources ... CNN didn't have it so I thought it was a prank, but then I went to MSNBC and they had it.
i hope it's ok that i literally LOLd about this one
