Re: Moving to Miami

  • Good more affordable & family friendly areas: Kendall and (northern) Cutler Bay although if your looking for school districts, you will have to make sure they are "A" rated. I only think there is an A rated elementary school in Cutler Bay, the middle school and high school I heard weren't very good. Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, South Miami and Coral Gables are pretty much the better areas with the better schools. West of Route 1, across from Palmetto Bay, you want to avoid that area - Richmond Heights. I don't know too much about the northern part of Miami though. Brickell I hear is pretty nice. We just moved here in July so we're still figuring out some areas but I did lots of research.
  • Thanks VAL!  I was just getting ready to ask the same question.  We are house hunting in a couple of months and your post really helped.
