Fashion Advice Needed
My high school reunion is coming up in November. The invitation said " business attire". What should I wear?
First off, I don't want to look dowdy and my business attire is pretty ho hum. I was thinking about dress pants, a cute top, and a cardigan over it. Or knee high boots, cute (not mini) skirt and cute fitted sweater. I found both these looks at anntaylorlloft.com but since I'm using firefox I can't make it clicky.
I am far from being a fashionista, so I need all the help I can get.

I think both of those outfits sound really cute.
I know the flat "riding boots" are popular right now with sweater dresses and tights.
Business attire doesn't sound fun :-). Well, to stick to that what you have in mind sounds perfect. The cardigan sounds good with the dress pants; I wouldn't wear a blazer at all. What events are business attire? At DH's reuinion there were the following:
Meet and greet at a bar - no required attire, but I saw dressy jeans outfits and some dressy casual dresses.
Reception - cocktail attire
Banana Republic has some great knit dresses that are adorable with knee boots and tights (it's what i'm wearing today!) And i love my sweater dress but these have more stucture and not so clingy. For me I NEED the structure or Spanx
It's in a dry county in a rural area. There are probably some people that have nothing but jeans, so I guess they went with something easy? I would have preferred a summer reunion where a cute casual sundress would be appropriate. Oh well. I don't want to over dress, but I'm not happy about business attire. At least we can bring our own booze.

I'll have to go with a cute top, skirt, and tall boots. That's how I tend to dress up in the winter.
