Need some ideas for 3 yo niece's project

For my niece's preschool project, we were sent a cardboard person (she says it's Rapunzel") and we have to take it around CO and take pictures of it...any ideas on where to go.  I'm going to put DD on a sled with it out in the backyard in the snow.  usually we can see the mountains, but they're covered today :(  We can also send back some food "native" to the area...any ideas of what we could send back for a 3yo preschool class?

Is there anywhere other than along the highway that has a "welcome to denver" or "mile high city" sign?

  • There's the Welcome to Golden sign, but that's all I can think of for signs. You could easily take a picture of "Rapunzel" with it though, since it spans Main Street in Golden. Or maybe sitting on the Mile High step at the Capital?

What about sending some Hammond's Candy for the "native" food? Or Celestial Seasonings tea? That's all I've got. . . fun project!

  • I don't know where you live so some of these may not work, and pardon my format I'm on my phone.  Steps of the capital with the official 5280 seal (US Geological society maybe), I-70 where you see buffalo, US mint, Bronco or Rockies something, red rocks.  Maybe one of these would make for a good picture?

  • I would do the whole 5280 step thing, that would be a neat thing to talk about in class.

And on the steps of red rocks would be adorable!

You could always do the iconic city park / skyline / mtns picture behind the museum.

  • Denver Zoo

    Union Station

    football stadium

    baseball park

    Mint

  • Food from the area makes me think of Buffalo burgers, but I don't know how you'd send that.  Or maybe a local salsa?
