clicky poll: appliance color (white, black, stainless)
Re: clicky poll: appliance color (white, black, stainless)
This. My second choice would be black. White is too hard to keep clean.
What? No option for mustard yellow, avocado, or rust?
Depending on how long before you plan to sell, it might not matter and you can get whatever you want.
I always wonder when the appeal for SS will fade and if it will be one of those things that really dates a kitchen (like pea green appliances ).
Yes, you have . I hate stainless, and our house has them. They are so hard to keep clean. I much, much prefer black. So does DH.
No more baby siggie pics. Boo.
I think we were just so damn glad to find a house, it could have had pink appliances and we would have dealt with it

I prefer the stainless that is finger-print proof, but it is so expensive!
I love the recreated ovens/fridges in the bright colors! Viking has this option. Of course, I am only dreaming right now since our current stove is cream colored. Blech
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.

Our mustard yellow ones growing up were SO awesome. Sadly, my mom replaced them with SS.

Stainless looks pretty. But it is a pain to keep clean and magnets don't stick to it. Hence I prefer black. But generally speaking, SS is the preference for buyers.

I love SS and don't mind the cool new black appliances, but I really don't think black is easier to keep clean. Our appliances are black and I hate them. They show every little crumb, speck of dust, etc. Our over the range microwave is stainless (because eventually I want to switch all appliances to stainless) and it's easy to clean with ss cleaner.
Same
I think most people prefer stainless, and black is my second choice, but as long as everything functions well that is the most important thing.
I honestly hate that the top of our SS stove is black enamel (like under the gas burner parts. I find it is really hard to keep it really clean without scrubbing every night.
There is definitely a time and place for white. I agree in small kitchens, when coordinated with either white counter tops and white cabinets, white is the only thing that looks right. I just randomly stopped in at an open house today and the kitchen was small, had white solid surface counters and white appliances and it still looked very modern and updated. I couldn't have imagined it with ss.
That said, ss would be my preference followed by white, under the above circumstances.
