The moved in a month or so ago. They have an adorable little who knows what mix--about 40 lbs it looks like. Brown. The guy is really great about walking him on a leash, etc.
His idiot girlfriend, on the other hand, just lets the dog out the front door for potty breaks, and then gets pissed off when he leaves the yard. I went out to my car and he was rounding a corner around the block. They weren't even at the door, so I started going in that direction, when the girlfriend comes out. She starts yelling for the dog, cursing about how he doesn't stay in the yard, blah blah. Before I could get very far, the dog came back because he heard her call. She yelled at him, and then HIT HIM. Not like a little pop, but twice in on the head. I was like, "Are you serious?" because I have no filter and sometimes things just pop out of my mouth.
She didn't say anything, she just took him inside.
So, next time he wanders off, I might be stealing him. I hope I can still next from a jail cell.
idiots.
Edit: apparently the nest doesn't star out the f-word anymore, they just take it out completely. So, for the record, that was supposed to say "fuuuuuuuuuucking idiots", but with only one u. )

Re: I want to punch my new neighbors in the kidneys...
oh yeah, hit him when he comes back home... that will teach him.
...teach him next time to continue his adventure b/c when he comes back he gets smacked in the face.
Sometimes you shouldn't have a filter. Good for you for saying something. My neighbor laughed when I got mad that a dog visiting her went after my dog. I had no filter and now my neighbors don't like me either. But seriously, dogs don't deserve crap treatment for any reason.
Does the guy know how she treats the dog? I'm betting not and if you told him, something would change (hopefully its the girlfriend!).
Ugh, I don't blame you for being pissed! What a jerky thing to do, and totally counterproductive, because as someone else mentioned it's just going to deter the dog from coming back the next time.
I have no tolerance for stuff like this. If the guy is sweet to the dog it really makes me wonder whether he knows how his girlfriend treats it...

I would definitely talk to him about it since I bet he has no idea. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
