Paint: Sherwin-Williams, Lowe's, HomeDepot?
We are going to be painting every room in the new house. I want quality paint that wont break the budget. I have a 25% off Coupon to SW. Any advice?
Thanks ladies!

For me, this debate is sort of like store brand vs. department store mascara. There are great formulas and crappy formulas at each price point - it just depends on how you prefer to spend your money. I prefer not to spend $30 on Dior mascara when a $7 tube of Cover Girl will look just the same.
I've painted 22 rooms in 5 houses in 6 years. I've used SW and the Behr (HD) and Valspar (Lowe's) paint & primer in one formulas. I don't notice any difference among the brands in their performance or quality. I used the Valspar to go from stark white to dark green in one coat last summer. I use whichever I have access to or is on sale.

I like Sherwin Williams, but usually get it for 40% off. It's great. When I've tried other brands, I haven't liked it as much.
Another vote for SW. I tried most brands out there and learned the hard way. Get the best bang for your buck and spend a few more $ up front and buy good quality paint.
My fail safe paint program- tinted primer and 2 coats of paint. This will ensure true paint color, perfect coverage and long wearing color. I do not fear scrubbing a wall, my DH knocking furniture in walls etc.
I'm a SW person, but I also have one right up the street, as in I could ride my bike to it.
I have had good experience with olympic in using it in closets and other low traffic areas.

Unlike Tarheels, I have found differences in real paint store paints vs big box store paints. I think there are many differences, but the durability is a huge one for me. I think there is better depth of color and less fading over time as well.
Definitely sign up for SW preferred customer program. They will email you about special sales just for preferred customers and let you know about other special offers.
well put, and i have had similar experience (not personal houses, but helping others in addition to the three houses dh & i have had).
