If you're cooking on Valentines Day what are you making?

Looking to see if there's something else that sounds interesting but right now I think I'm making a Pernil al Forno with some roasted potatoes and a not yet decided vegetable side. I also have to figure out if I'm going to bake a dessert or go to a bakery.

Rob surprised me with dinner last night since he is at a sales meeting ,ist of this coming week and is t sure if he'll be home Tues or not. So he made a seafood risotto with scallops and monk fish. It was super good,one of my favorite meals so it was a nice great since good monk fish is hard to find.

got heart-shaped ravioli at Costco... we'll have that and some veggie.... nothing fancy- but fun for the kids.

I'm doing chicken parmesan with spaghetti. For dessert Julia requested rice pudding, so I'm going to make that and use food coloring to dye it pink.

I made spinach lasagna roll ups to pop in the oven on tues so I don't have to cook!

nothing special since I work Tuesdays and don't usually get home until around 6:30...plus MIL eats dinner with us on Tuesdays.

In the past I've made some of Frank's favorites for both dinner and dessert.

I am on no carb so we are making a nice steak dinner with asparagus & he will have some kind of starch side.

I you!!  Thanks for posting about the rice pudding. I forgot about the great Cuban rice pudding we had at a restaurant while on vacation at Disney. That will be perfect and go with the Latin theme. Now off to find a really good recipe.

I'm not cooking since I work till 6 on Tuesday and DD has girl scouts till 7.  DH says he is making dinner which scares the beejesus out of me since the grill in put away in the basement and I think in all our years together he's cooked maybe once

We're probably going to have a roast beef in the crock pot with potatoes and probably baby carrots tossed in for good measure.  I will take the opportunity to pick up a small cheesecake from the local Amish market for dessert.

I saw you post about these this week and ran to get them... simple. We're going out Saturday so this will do for Valentines Day.

Laura's daycare had a date night on Friday, so we went out ALONE, it was really wonderful.  So for the actual day, it will be filet mignon, asparagus and sherried mushrooms.  Nothing special dessert planned, but Dove makes a tasty 70 calorie ice cream and chocolate treat that found its way into the shopping cart today.

Tonight we mentioned having today's leftovers on Tuesday...oops forogt what day it was. Well we will be away at a convetion this weekend so hopefully dinner on friday night at one of the 2 hotels I know the food was good last year.
