San Antonio hotels with a suite set up

We are thinking of taking advantage of the Sea World free teacher pass  and going with C over Spring Break.

We need something with a suite setup for taking C.

I know of Embassy Suites and Hotel Contessa. Any other recs?

  • Hotel Valencia on the RW has great suites.

  • We stayed at a Drury Inn and Suites on the north side off 1604.  It was nice. They have breakfast and a happy hour at night. Nothing super fancy but good if you aren't planning on heading downtown.
  • We're looking at limited service - Residence Inn.  Nothing super fancy, but does include breakfast & both will have a full kitchen.  Plus, they have studio rooms, 1br & 2br suites.

Also, Homewood Suites & Staybridge have the same setup.

  • Hyatt Wild Oaks Ranch!  LOVE IT there (has a lazy river and stuff).  Only a couple of miles from Seaworld.

This.  Plus there is a little playground on property and although she might be a bit young they sometimes have movie night outside by the fire pit and other nights s'mores.  It is very family friendly.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown/Alamo Plaza last weekend. My parents were in town and we took a weekend trip. For a 2 bedroom it was $189 night and included breakfast. Parking was an additional $22 day - they have their own attached garage which filled up quickly at night.

They're currently remodeling. You couldn't really tell (we didn't hear any noise) except the pool was closed.

It wasn't anything fancy but it was what we needed. We'd stay there again.
