I can't believe it's Monday already. This weekend went by faster than ever for some reason.
Weekend update? Plans for the week?
Re: Good morning, Monday!
Good morning! I am cold and kind of happy to be at work with my space heater running.
My H had to work for most of the weekend so I kept myself busy with cleaning the house. I finally organized our office and the mounds of paper that were burying it. There were bank statements from October at the bottom of one of the piles. Whoops. I also did some shredding and pulled out folders from 2007 that can go. Purging feels good. I got our taxes done, too.
baker, I purged my desk last month and found paperwork from last tax season. Talk about oops.
Y'all already know about my weekend. I slept a lot and ate a lot. The end
Baker, that is so productive! Good job!
We had a low key weekend. We tore out all of the landscaping in front of the house because it was ugly and overgrown so we want to start over in the Spring. The house looks SO much better. I need to take some b&a pictures to show you all... I'll try to do that today.
H's family came over yesterday for dinner, so that was really nice.
Nice! We did that last year and it made a huge difference. Overgrown shrubs are my new pet peeve. I was out once a week last summer pruning. I am determined to never let them get overgrown.
Morning!
Weekend was rather uneventful. Went to the Lowell WinterFest on Saturday and hung out at my parents yesterday.
We had an ENT appt for DD this morning and I'm just getting to work. What is with these kids and their specialists?! Everyone I know has specialists for their kids! (She was diagnosed with laryngiomalacia-- basically her epiglottis is curled up and needs to strengthen which should as she grows).
I don't think we have anything else going on this week.
Our weekend can be described in 6 words:
Stomach flu. All three of us
Hoping to just feel better as the week goes on
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

Rock, I hope you're feeling better! And you too, Dr.L and family!
Our weekend was lame. We did nothing, except watch tv, nap, play video games (H) and read (me). It still wasn't long enough, though. The only thing getting me through this week is the promise of a long weekend at the end of it!
Ugh, that's awful! Hope you're all feeling much better in the next few days.
Hope you all feel better really soon, Dr. L!
We went out and got H a new (to us) car. His 2-seater truck wasn't going to cut it with a baby. Then yesterday we went out to dinner for Valentine's, got desert to go and then went home and watched a movie.
Nothing major going on this week. We're getting our taxes done tonight... and that's about it.
Ooh, what did you get? We're hoping to go car shopping this weekend, though every time I think about pulling the trigger and adding to our bills, my stomach flips, heh.
We got a 2009 Honda Civic. We went to Bernardi Honda in Natick. We knew doe sure we wanted a Honda (this is our 3rd) from what we could tell by looking online they had a good selection at good prices (compared to the very few dealerships in our area). They were definitely one of the better dealerships that we have dealt with and we're very happy with the car. We have been majorly screwed by others in the past.
I hear you though. I tried to get H to wait a little while but he is the kind to pull the trigger as soon as he gets an idea in his head. I was definitely nervous about making such a big purchase with a baby on the way... but it had to be done sooner or later. We lucked out because we had some equity in H's truck so we're actually saving a little bit money on the monthly payments. Not to mention the difference in gas!
Good luck! Let us know if you find something!
We're actually also thinking of a Civic, peepers, and were probably going to go to Bernardi. So I'm really glad to read that!
Congrats on the new car and the savings!
