Tell me I don't have to sit here and scrub these blinds...

is there a way to get them clean without having to scrub every.single.slat?? I've already soaked them in ammonia (Windex) and sprayed them and power washed them with the strong setting on my shower, and the dust/dinge is still on there.  Is there some kind of mystery/magic potion I can put on them to make this stuff just drip off and I don't have to scrub every slat???? Please tell me there is.

  • That's why I buy cheap blinds for the kitchen and bathroom - when they get scuzzy, I throw them out and buy new ones.

  • What kind of blinds?

We have custom ones on the 1st floor and I hand wash them 2x a year. Its a PITA but they need it. I usually use warm water, some soap and vinegar.

There are those swifter slat cleaners in the store-maybe they work? or you can try BBB

  • I know this won't help you now,,, but maybe for the future.  I have one of those blind dusters that goes into the individual slats.  They get dusted every other week so this won't happen.
  • I've been meaning to try Oxyclean in the bathtub but haven't done it yet.  You're scaring me that I'm going to have to do the same!

  • I spray them with scrubbing bubbles and let them soak a bit then spray them with the shower sprayer.
