The house is too quiet! Coopers surgery day :(

Today was Coopers 3rd knee surgery http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/63129089.aspx

I hugged him goodbye for about 5 minutes while trying not to cry!! He was givin me that total "wtf Mom, youz crazy" look Lol!

I called the Vet around 445 since I hadn't heard from them all day (::ahem::) & they said he was doing well, resting comfortably -last time he was pretty vocal in recovery...so this time they jacked him up w/morphine to help him along a little...They said the Vet removed the loose crimp & checked his drawer-sign which remains stable, so all went well.....I'll know more tomorrow when I go pick him up, I just needed to know he was ok so I could stop worrying (sort of...Lol)

It was heartbreakingly depressing to get home from work & walk in the door & not have anyone to greet me Sad or shove is nose in my McDonalds bag (what? Im a stress eater! Embarrassed) or clean up my crumbs..... Im meeting a friend to go see a movie tonight, otherwise I'd go nuts here!!

  • Aww, glad his surgery went well.  Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

  • How long is recovery for him this time around?

I actually don't know. From not having an actual "consult" prior to the surgery (you know the story), we're kinda clueless this time around....I'll find out tomorrow when I go pick him up. The last time(s) she gave us a big packet of info, so Im sure I'll get something similar tomorrow...

  • *Hugs*

I hope that his recovery goes smoothly!

  • Awww. I hope Cooper is doing well when you go pick him up today. You two can have a snuggly evening together with lots of spoiling for the convalescent pup.

I don't even know what I'd do if I came home and had no one to greet me (I'd have to get 4 other living creatures out of the house before that ever happened); it's depressing enough when H is out of town for work and I get home to Zoey still in her crate (and not wiggling every which way as I walk through the door).

Glad you had a friend to get you out of the house for a bit last night! See anything good?
