Re: Happy VD, Horz!!!
Happy VD Geek!
We're done. We exchanged cards this morning and he got me a box of dark chocolates (this is extravagant by our standards).
Then we went to work. Tonight, I have class until 9 so I'll be eating a sandwich on campus and he is excited because there's left over vegetarian lasagna and four bean chili for him to heat up. The romance, it is breathtaking.
Happy Valentines! We're not big V-day people, but H surprised me with a card this morning, and we have some red wine and chocolates to scarf tonight.
Also, I'm officially a nutty pet person. I told H this morning that we should cut dog's treats into heart shapes so that she can celebrate Valentine's day.
Happy Valentine's Day! So far, so good today. One of my bosses brought in strawberries and chocolate, and our CEO passed out chocolates to all the ladies.
I left H a super sweet card from the pups this morning. It's a baby Boston kissing a bigger Boston. Awwwww.
We're going to dinner tonight, and I'm hoping H picks up some flowers. I want my tulips, dammit!
I love this tweet from comedian Jim Gaffigan about Valentine's Day.
And here?s your Valentine?s Day forecast: Disappointment with intermittent pockets of candy eating.
Happy V Day horz!!
Tonight I'm going to yoga - BBE is teaching, whut!! - and then headed home to whip up some dinner. Our only real plans are cook dinner, drink wine, get busy. Our big date was Friday night so tonight will be pretty low key. I forgot to bring his card to work though so I will have to write it quickly tonight, fail.
Happy VD to you too Geek!
It's our anniversary today too, but our budget has nothing available until the weekend so we'll do something then (I need a job soooo bad it's unreal). But tonight I might bake heart shaped pretezels and bisquits.
I kind of want DH to surprise me with a cup of real coffee but I know it won't happen as I had control of the cash this week. (i need to restock the real stuff at home but had to leave it off the list due to budget constraints, the withdrawl has set in this morning).
I'll be taking antibiotics for my VD. Just kidding! Well, not really - I'm going to be holding my breath that today will be the day that my STBX signs the divorce settlement. I've been holding my breath for a long time, but maybe he will see the sweet irony and sign them today. My move would go so much easier if he just DOES IT.
First VD without a SO in many years and I don't really care.
Hug your loved ones extra tight!
Happy Valentine's Day!
I made a special dinner for FI and DS on Saturday night and gave them both their candy that I bought for them.
FI gave me a dozen pink roses last night (my favorite) and a card. So tonight is just another night in the Morty household.
So here I'd posted this morning that we don't do much on V Day.
9 a.m. this morning at work, someone taps me on the shoulder. There's my H standing with a dozen roses. So sweet!
Cues the Awwww's!
