Those who have flown with JetBlue

Question we are flying to Orlando in April and wondering if we need birth certificate with us when flying with lap child? My cousin is coming and her 1.5 year old is on a lap. Do they actually need this? I have never needed it flying when I had my kids on the lap when they were under 2!

Re: Those who have flown with JetBlue

  • no, they haven't asked for it. the only time i'd bring it is if the child looked like he is definitely older than 2.

also- when she checks in, tell her to ask them if they have a row with an empty seat. most times (not all), they will move you to a row that would allow an extra seat if they can so you have more room.

She is tiny only about 18lbs and is clear she is not over 2!

Thanks! We decided to go with Jetblue because the flights were that much cheaper this time then Air Tran! 97 each with JetBlue but freaking air train wanted 200 each way.

  • I always tell my clients to carry their kids birth certificates.  What happens if you get a cranky TSA person that is wants it?  Is it worth the hassle?  Better to have more then enough paperwork then not enough, no?

Where in world would you like me to ship you? image My boys - I am so screwed in about 7 years. What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? LIPSTICK !

Absolutely this! I would rather take the time to get it and pack it, then not have it, need it and miss the flight
