I am having a hard mommy moment
Poor Leo has had double ear infections since January. Four rounds of drugs have not worked. We are going to an ENT in Boston but i cant get in until Feb 27. The poor kid has ear infections and I guess I am just really nervous that this is going to affect his hearing while we wait for this appt, because althogh he is on an antibiotic, it does not seem to work. So I feel like he's just getting worse and worse and I feel helpless. I am about to burst into tears. I am so glad I work from home because I am just so upset. He is in OK spirits considering and does not seem to have any trouble hearing but I just feel like I am twiddling my thumbs and waiting for something worse to happen.
No thanks, I don't need child porn or Tweets from this site---thanks for the memories nesties---RIP, Franco---2004--2012.
Re: I am having a hard mommy moment
I am so sorry that you are going through this. Poor Leo. I can relate on this 100% as we went through it with my son. Same time period as well. He battled the same ear infection from January on to the spring. It was the longest few months ever. It was awful since every infection was so different. Some had a fever and some didn't. Most of the times he was a happy camper too.
Maybe the pediatrician can call to get you an earlier appt.? Just a thought. February 27 will be here before you know it. Hang in there!!!
awww jess i totally understand that feeling. cole has been sick for the last month and a half. feb 27 isn't THAT far away. i know it probally seems really far away. but its about 2 and a half weeks.
what i would do is call back and see if they have a cancellation list and if you can be put on that.
he's in good spirits and thats important.
try not to stress yourself out. i knw its WAY easier said then done. but just try and relax.
is there any other ENT you can get into?
I am waiting to hear back from another place but Mass General doesn't have waiting/cancellation lists. I have to call each week to see. DUMB.
I am going to call my pediatrican's office today and let him know that the one he referred me to cant see us til MARCH 28 and see if he can pull strings.
I am so sorry, you are doing the best that you can! Can you call and be put on a wait list to see if something opens if someone cancels?
ETA: sorry should have read the responses before responding! Hope you pedi can get you in sooner. and that Leo's ears clear up soon!

childrens hospital here is like that. its annoying.
i would TOTALLY call your ped and see what they can do. if they are concerned they may be able to pull some strings. hang in mama
wow- that sucks having to wait that long - it does seem insane. I hope your pedi can pull some strings and get you in somewhere before that.
When we went for Gray's ENT appt we only had to wait 2 weeks for his surgery... maybe you should come back to nj for it... i'm only 1/2 kidding
i feel your pain- gray was like that- EI after EI - i don't think they ever really went away.... just know you are doing all you can for him and he knows he is loved... and keep the ibuprofen pumpin and he'll feel OK.
