What are you doing for Valentine's Day?

Since DH is OOT, some girlfriends are coming over and we are making dinner together. I can not wait.

DH and I are going to Monterey this weekend to celebrate and will exchange gifts. I have his card but no clue on what to get him. We have a $20 budget. Sorry, let me rephrase, we have said it is a $20 budget but in true fashion, he will go over that. Anyone care to help?

If he was home, we would cook dinner and exchange gifts and have an relaxing night. We never go out. I hate going out b/c it is too crowded and overpriced for the same meal you can get any other day.

We are going out for a Thai dinner tonight. He surprised me this morning with a new pair of lululemons....we weren't supposed to do gifts, but I'm not complaining. I got him and card and some champagne for later

dh is actually off work today so he made breakfast while i folded laundry. we are going for a big walk in a little while. dh gave me a card from him and one he signed from lily. dh is making a special dinner tonight. i plan on getting lots of cleaning done today while dh is home to entertain lily.

we're not celebrating today. hubby works late...so we'll be celebrating on friday at the melting pot. the 3 of us

DH bought steak and shrimp to make for dinner tonight. We agreed to exchange cards and chocolate this year. We haven't gone out in years because of the service on Valentine's Day sucking and this year we would have to find a babysitter for our little Valentine.

Nothing much since DH is still bedbound. He did get me beautiful flowers. He remembered that I love calla lilies and had them in my wedding bouquet. I got him a card and cupcakes. I never really get him a big gift for Val day because his birthday is a couple of weeks later.

We exchanged cards this morning and he brought me breakfast in bed before he hurried out the door for work. It was cute. I strategically placed Reeses hearts and Dove hearts around the house over lunch, and we're skipping the gym to spend the evening together. DH is making some sort of glazed salmon and sides out of this month's Food & Wine. And brownie sundaes, which I have been craving for 3 weeks now.

It must be an east coast thing..we don't celebrate it either. I brought in pink cupcakes for work though and T and I will split the last one in a few minutes.

Just dinner at home for us. I'm making dh's favorite meal and cream puffs for dessert. We exchanged cards and he gave me chocolates (which I need to stop eating before dinner).

We don't really "do" Valentine's Day, though I love getting DH cards and I love chocolate, so usually I do that for him (and did this morning). He doesn't do anything back which is totally fine by me (promise!). He is actually working tonight so I'm home with the dog, eating soup

DH had surgery this morning for a hernia, so he's laid up in bed. I took the day off to be with him. He's in a lot of pain. With that said, we didn't do anything. I'm not big into valentines day. I got him a card and made peanut butter cups. Our friends made us dinner and brought it over.
