I'm in a class several nights a week (from 6-11 p.m.), I work three jobs, I'm a big sister for big brothers big sisters and I run and maintain my household. I'm busy most of the time. If I'm not busy, I like to bake (it might have something to do with the kitchen Aid mixer DH just bought me...but I digress).
At class last night, one of the girls (I say girl, because I think she's 20--please tell me that I was not like this when I joined the boards) said she can't believe I have time to bake (I broght smores brownies to class last night), and that she wishes she had time to bake. If she had said it once, it would have been fine, but she kept saying it it. Like, when I do well on a test, she says stuff like "well, you have time to study". I get that she's a student and she has a job, but so did I-- quite fankly I'm busier now than I was in college, but this isn't a competition. And I make time to bake, because it's relaxing to me. I don't go out partying and drinking. So I could make the same comment about how I don't see how she has time to do things like that.
Any ideas on what I can say to her to get her to STFU?
Re: Help me get over this.
"Baking is a priority to me. I make time for it. Just like I make time for school".
Or just smile and nod and don't respond at all.

"I make certain things priorities in my life. Due to your rude comment, no yummy smores brownies for you. Buzz off biatch."
LOL!
You are a super spouse with all of your ducks in a row (kudos!) and she's still growing up. If you want to say anything to her, it might be along the lines of that you just make time for the things that are important to you and while school is a priority, baking is theraputic. She may or may not get it.
