I've never had to look for a tutor before but dd1 is struggling with Algebra II. We all struggle with math in my family and I have no skills to assist her. We are working with the school but also wanted to see if any of you have suggestions for how to go about finding one, are tutors, or have friends who are.

Re: Math tutoring?
When I went to Mines, I was a tutor. I did both the college kids and had a couple of HS kids too (those were private tutoring). It might be worth a call to Mines and see if they can give you a name/number of someone.
The HS kids I tutored were willing to drive to campus, but you may be able to find one with a car willing to drive closer to you (most college kids will do anything for gas money!)
Bazinga!
