For Valentine's Day I got...
A water heater, snuggles from boy #2, boy #3 who wanted to play with me and not nap and boy #1 who insisted on wearing a red cable knit sweater with knit cotton shorts.
How was your day?
Re: For Valentine's Day I got...
Nothing yet, we will exchange gifts tonight.
We have gone to gymnastics, swim lessons and Chick-fil-a. F is now napping from the crazy day!
So Tasty, So Yummy
A very difficult morning from my girl, and still attitude when I went to have lunch with her. Sigh. Not sure what's up with her today.
Did get to have lunch with my boys and hubby got me a box of chocolates. :-) a nice surprise since we don't celebrate v-day.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Ok, I am having a good day, so I will share!
I got a big kiss and a smile from DH this morning before I left for work. And he remembered to say Happy Valentine's day! This is big because he is so not a morning person and we had a crazy hectic morning AND I was out of the house before 7am. So I was pretty impressed that he not only had himself together enough to remember, but was also in a chipper mood.
Then I got to court and 3 out of 4 clients paid me in cash. One even brought me a box of chocolates.
I got back to the office and my old assistant from my last firm surprised me with lunch and a Valentine's goody bag.
Then the 4th client showed up at the office with a huge bouquet of flowers for me and a cash payment!
Dh is getting off work early tonight and is bringing me home a nice dinner and a new blu ray player! We're going to eat and watch a movie and I cannot wait!!!!!!!
I was out the door before he got up. I'm not expecting anything, but here's what I did for him:
Made a robot valentine similar to the one all over Pinterest with a candybar body. Put it on top of a wrapped box that had a pair of Sperry Flip Flops inside. Put both inside his car on his seat. Then I drew a trail of hearts with sidewalk chalk leading from the front door to his car. He loved it!
Yesterday he knew I got him something because I carried it into the house and he was being nosey. I imagine there MIGHT be something for me when I get home after work, we shall see. If not, it's okay... we don't technically celebrate Valentine's Day with gifts. I just tend to spoil my man. He can enjoy it while it lasts... when we have kids it won't be all about him anymore!!! LOL
I got a very sweet card from DH. I asked him not to do anything special so I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm giving myself a glass of wine and something chocolate if I can bake it with what we have in the house.
I also got a water related gift. A pipe broke outside and has been leaking then gushing for about a month. I noticed yesterday! Lucky us, I have a good plumber who fixed it for $100. I don't think the water bill will be the cause of celebration though.
Addie requested a heart shaped pizza so that's our romantic dinner. Dh and I aren't really exchanging anything although he may have bought me chocolates. He got his wish, but that was free.

~~PGAL/PAL Always Welcome!~~
: ) Pink squishy comfy nike flip flops... which is a big deal because HE bought me flip flops... when he generally comments that i have too many, lol. i wanted new aggie croc flipflops, but he couldn't find them for me.
he ordered his sony tablet a coupel of days ago, o that's his present.
claire is getting fuzzy slippers, connor's getting a connect 4 game where you flip the chips into the holes-- should be entire-family-fun.
we're doing home made pizza tonight : ) i will encourage heart-shaped per addie's inspiration.
my photography blog
ha! she actually overheard my mom ask me to pick up 2 heart pizzas for her from papa murphy's (one of those take and bake places). She's been asking about it all day now.
If I ever get another BFP the title of my post would be more along the lines of "WTF, how did that happen?"
My actual V-Day gift is $100 to spend however I want (clothes) and DH's is a pull-up /dip exercise tower that hasn't arrived yet.
Today, though, DH got me a cute, goofy card that caters to one of our inside jokes and advance purchased tickets to Ghost Rider 2 in 3D for Friday (we're probably the only people in the known world who haven't seen a 3D movie yet o_O ) and picked up some heart shaped brownies from the bakery by our office.
Tonight, I'm making a nice dinner for us with his favorite side dish (scalloped potatoes....skinny version, though ) and we're catching up on the DVR and watching the premiere of Cougar Town lol
Last Sunday I woke up early and was watching tv and saw the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution or something like that and mentioned to DH that I thought it would be cool to try. He bought it for me that evening.
He's taking me to dinner tonight with some friends and he sent 2 dozen roses to my office, he also mad me homemade creme brulee!
I got him 2 pairs of workout pants (he needed them), a paper shredder (his wishlist) and had a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries sent to his office.
I got tulips from the boys yesterday. C was up all night (and so were we) but he was pretty good this morning - bonus!
Best gift so far, though, was that he didn't cry at all when I took him to school. He just gave me a hug and said "be good momma."
I've also had a pretty successful work day at home. We'll cook dinner together tonight & I'll give DH his gifts, plus Cooper has some that came in the mail & from us.
We watched SNL from this past weekend - there was a part where Nic Cage & the guy who plays him on SNL were both at the weekend news desk. If you didn't see it, youtube it. I love Nic Cage movies (guilty pleasure) and this had me rolling.
We went out for lunch yesterday kid free. Today I woke up to 2 dozen roses on the kitchen table and a card... I wish I could read what he wrote, but it's in sharpie that kind of ran together and his writing is impossible to read...
DH ran out and got the kids pink donuts for breakfast. We blew up red ballons and put them in the kitchen and gave them some books. Lila started singing Happy Birthday.
DH brought some roses home last night, and DS gave them to me. He was so proud to hand them to me and said "Happy Balemtimes Day, Mommy". Too sweet!
This morning, DH gave me a card and a box of chocolates. He also got DS a box of chocolates that had a chalkboard on the top of it. I have no idea where he got it from? but DS thought it was cool, and he hasn't even opened the box, yet. lol. I was glad that I had gotten a card a long time time ago and stashed it, so I woke up and filled it out really quick to give to him.
DH is going to cook tonight - I think steaks, so should be yummy! I don't think DH has anything else in store for me, but that's fine with me. :-)
This is the first time in a long time where I had an idea of what to get DH w/o him telling me, so I'm excited for when he comes home. I bought new tupperware and organized our tupperware cabinet and threw out old stuff (we have been meaning to do this forever b/c our cabinet was just a mess of old, crappy mismatched stuff). He will really appreciate that! I also got him a new large fry/grill pan b/c his bit the dust awhile back and he really liked the size of it. AND I got him a wine fridge (ended up with this one, in case you are wondering from my previous post). I am not sure if he is going to like it or not b/c he really wants to get one built in where our cabinets are, but I figured this would be a good test to see if he really likes it. Then in a few years, we can go forward with the larger expense and actually taking up cabinet space if all goes well. But even if he wants to return this free-standing one, he will definitely know I was listening to him - and it's the thought that counts. :-)
I didn't do anything for him for Christmas (he literally just bought himself a gift on Xmas eve b/c I was so busy with the baby), so I am finally able to redeem myself!
ETA: Well, DH didn't get around to going to the grocery store, so we ended up throwing a frozen pizza in the oven, but we have babysitters for Sat. night, so we'll get steak, then! :-)
Also - he LOVED everything that I did! We even set up the wine fridge already. *smiles*

We had a great but exhausting party at school and some of the kids got me several beautiful flower arrangements and one grandmother who is a retired teacher gave me teacher goodies for my room and a 1 hour massage gift card.
Oh but I did make a parent mad because I told his child that she can go home with him without him letting me know that he had to go back to work after the party-oops!
We are doing dinner tonight early and hanging out and watching a movie while my inlaws keep the boys.
I am bummed because I missed Tyler's first ever school party but my inlaws went to help and they took a video of it.
I plan on taking a half day for his Easter party though.
DH got me chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite. He even called the company to make sure they were gluten-free. A very nice surprise since we usually don't do V-Day. Kind of thinking I should get something for him on the way home...
Ha! I just watched it... "I love your sense of humor, Nic...dry and aged like a marbled beef steak" ..." That's high praise!" LOL
yay!
seriously, like yay with tears!!!

Fantastic news!
So Tasty, So Yummy
Awesome!
I've had such a gross hacking cough I haven't even slept in the same room with rrr for several nights, so I did not even get my usual goodbye kiss at 6:40 a.m. We will exchange cards tonight when he gets home. That's all we really ever do. But I'm making a nice dinner tonight with creme brulee for our standard v-day dessert.
Edit: I got a card and chocolate truffles. He sure better eat most of them!
