My Blog
I made a dress for the LO I am expecting in June. It was the first baby dress I have ever made, can't wait to make more!

I have not done anything worth mentioning, but the girl that we made the dance costumes for placed third in the junior division at the competition over the weekend. I think she may go to NY in April to compete in the finals.
Her mom sent me an email with a photo of her in one of the costumes, and told me that she had the most beautiful costumes in the competition.
It is always nice to have satisfied clients, but for some reason, this time it really means a lot to us....they are very special people.
Oh yeah....I didn't get any decent photos of the dance dress that we made for her at the last minute (I have to wait for my partner to email hers to me), but it turned out really well. We nailed it.
I'm still quilting the metro quilt (curses under breath). I'm a little over halfway finished. This long weekend is going to be spent bent over my table trying to get it finished. I think I have 12+ hours ahead of me, so it is a serious commitment.
ETA: I have 3 quilts to do for May babies (for some reason they come in spurts), one of which is a girl quilt!!!!!!!!!!! (after 11 boys it deserves that many exclamation points)
Stand up for something you believe in.
I made this valentine holder for work
I made this shirt for a friend's daughter who is having a birthday party this weekend. They are going to Disney, so I thought this was a great gift
Disney autograph book
Also made some more crayons. Need to work some more on P's scrapbook
I'm still plodding away on my February Lady sweater. I'm about halfway through the first sleeve, which is going slower than I expected for some reason. Maybe I'll finish before the end of February...

Actually, I have two projects but have not worked on them. One is a sweater for a friend but I think I might want to knit the scarf instead of crochet. I am not sure. The other project is a case for my yoga mat. Not sure where the heck that project went.
:: smh ::
I am truly a mess.
Iposted this in the weekend post below, but I'll repost it.
I finished a Disney autograph book last week (well, I made 3 but shipped the other 2 before I could take a picture). I'm loving my new bind it all.
I also made books for my 3 oldest a few weeks ago for our Disney trip:
(m/c 1.17.07, m/c 5.15.07)
DS - 03.15.08
DD2 - 12.03.09
DD3 - 3.28.11
I am working on crocheting a blanket for our nursery. Right now it just looks like a scarf. I'll take some pics once I make some more progress. It's going to be blues, grey and white. If we have a girl, I hope she likes blue!
I am also planning a quilt, and still trying to figure out if I want to attempt a slipcover for our chaise, which will be our sleeping chair in the nursery. Right now it's green and I'm thinking I'd like it in a khaki color.

Nothing!!!
I haven't felt well in 4 weeks so sitting upright has been out of the picture, but hopefully I'm getting over the hump. However, we're trying to declutter the house and get stuff done on it so we can move to a bigger place, so my crafting time might be limited longer.
TTC Baby #2 - BFP on 12/14/11 @ 10DPO - CP confirmed 12/18/11

I finally finished putting together the backing for my girl scout quilt, and will make the quilt sandwich this weekend and hopefully start quilting.
I am anxiously waiting for a friend's big u/s results so I know whether to do a boy quilt or a girl quilt. I really hope for a girl because I want to make some cute baby clothes, too.
***semi-luker coming out of hiding***
I'm working on Clapotis. This thing is taking forever to knit. I had started it once before in a colorway by Malabrigo but I didn't like the way some of the tones pooled in parts of the piece, so I frogged it. I'm trying it again in a bamboo/silk combination yarn in a solid color. So far, I love the way it looks and feels, but it's a boring project for sure.
I also have Prudent Baby's Snappy Toddler shirt ready to sew which I'll probably actually get to some time this weekend.
I am in quilt project overload but progress is slow. I'm 1/3 done a wedding quilt due for longarm quilting the end of May (24 blocks to go - and I'm very over the pattern my girlfriend picked out). I'm 1/5 done a Tokyo Subway Map quilt that will be due as a wedding gift in October, so that's ok.
Instead of working on those projects, I have put together a baby boy quilt for a coworker and I have been making a swoon quilt for myself. So very productive.
I just crossed the 1/2 mark on my first knit sweater. I was planning on making it for myself but I think I'm going to have to give it to my Mom since it is coming out a little petite. Oy.
