Nesties in Peru

Hi, and sorry to intrude.  I was hoping someone here might be able to help me.  I know JalopenoMel is in Lima, and I paged her on ML, but thought someone else here might have some helpful information, too.

We're looking for someone who can tutor M while we are down there for J's adoption.  We need someone who's a native English-speaker, used to working with kids, and capable of working with children with dyslexia.  We were hoping the person could come in to our apartment a few times a week (at least) for a couple hours a day.  We expect to need the services for about 3 weeks.

We are hoping to find a staff teacher at one of the American or British schools who's interested in earning extra cash on the side, but are open to other suggestions as to how to find someone.  I've looked at some classifies and Peruvian Craigslist, and the tutors all seem geared to adult studies.

Also, how far is La Molina from Miraflores, driving/commuting time?  I see it on the map, and it looks like a pretty straight shot, but I'm not sure if it would be a trek for someone to come out that often.

Re: Nesties in Peru

  • I don't think we have anyone else in Peru on this board. You might try calling those schools and asking for info--that would be my first step. GL!
