I know I'm only a semi-regular on this board, but I have some super exciting CR news to share. One of our friends owns four fairly upscale restaurants in our town. After eating several of my cheesecakes over the course of the last year or so at different events (birthdays, potlucks, etc.), he asked if I would make seven 10" red velvet cheesecakes for one of their restaurants for Valentine's Day. Having always dreamed of making desserts for a job, I of course jumped at the opportunity.
So, I spent a few hours last Friday and this Monday working in one of their kitchens baking and assembling the cakes. I just got a message that they were a huge hit, and that he wants to talk to me sometime in the next week or so about some other ideas for doing this type of thing on an ongoing basis! I am on cloud nine!
