Cat question

How often does your cat poop?

Sherlock hadn't gone in 3 days so I took him to the vet and he got an enema. I'm not sure if he's gone since I left for work, but he hasn't pooped since the afternoon on Monday. He was completely emptied out so I guess it makes sense if it's taking a little longer and he's been eating wet food only.

I guess I'm wondering what is normal for your pet and when I should be concerned.

Normal for him is every day or every other day.

Re: Cat question

  • Lily I think is every other day. The kittens seem to be once or twice a day. You can't miss Cooper's stinky poops!

  • Scamp goes 1x/day (I know this specifically because of when she was pooping outside the box Stick out tongue). Sammy probably goes 1x/day or every other day-ish. There are never more than 2 poop "deposits" when I scoop the box daily; never more than 3 if a miss a day and scoop after 2 days worth of use.

  • Well, we just switched Rosco to grain-free so he's in the process of changing his poop routine...

But right now it's about once a day...sometimes twice. But they are TINY.
