Pearland ENT or Bay Area ENT?

Anyone go to one of these?  Any recs one way or another?  (My pedi rec'ed these to get a second opinion on DD's tongue tie).  TIA!

Re: Pearland ENT or Bay Area ENT?

  • We use Children's ENT of Houston for tubes.  We see Dr. Raynor.  A friend of mine had her son's tongue tie clipped by her as well, and they've been very happy.
After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!
    BFP with no treatment!

  • I seriously didnt know this was so common. I had my frenulum cut but not until I was in my 20's.   My health or speech was never effected as a child, purely cosmetic.

I also have a pretty severe tongue tie.  I had some small speech issues when I was younger, but they worked themselves out.  If the ENT thinks that DD's will be as severe as mine, I would rather get her a quick snip now, than for her to have to look at surgical procedures down the road since the nerves and blood vessels grow in that area as they get older.  I also may talk to the ENT about getting mine cut - moreso for comfort than a medical reason, though.

  • Lurker here! My DS goes to Bay Area ENT. They are wonderful. Dr. Strunk did his tubes a few weeks ago. His PA is really nice too.

Another vote for Dr Chester Strunk at Bay Area.  Dr Strunk removed my tonsils and corrected my hubbys sinus issues.

I have a personal rec for Dr Strunk. He's been friends with my dad since elementary school and they were college roommates, too. Smile

  • I say Strunk too.  He did one of my boys tubes. The best thing about him is how quick he is to get you in. We saw Dr. Grant for DS1 (I think he is at Texas ENT) we had to wait hours in the office before we were seen. And I don't exaggerate we literally waited 1.5 hours for one appt. not fun with a one year old.
