So i just realized when we moved that i own a cast iron skillet. Must have been a gift at some point, that I have NEVER used. Besides the obvious cornbread in the skillet, i am looking for something yummy to try in it this weekend. Any suggestions?
Re: Cast Iron Skillet
Steaks
Whole Chicken - throw in some baby potatoes and vegetables. Cook in the oven.
Pork chops
I just made upside down pinapple cake this weekend.
We have started to use ours more and more lately. I love cooking with it.
I use cast iron 99% of the time when I cook, no matter what I'm making.
I think Chicken Marsala is one of our favorites made in the skillet.
There is an article in our local paper's food section today about cast iron skillets - interesting, and yummy-sounding recipes at the end ...
