Tonight I'm making barbecue chicken in the crockpot from a recipe I found on Pinterest. This is the first time I leave something cooking while nobody is home and I have to keep reassuring myself that people use the crockpot all the time and their homes don't burn down. If it goes well I will probably start using it for dinner more often.
So, WFD at your house tonight?

Re: WFD?
starsailor - your house will be just fine!
Mo - no idea about the stir fry part - but those sausages are dam good.
Tonight is either Indian leftovers or something fast. There is a co-op market next to my new office as well as a Trader Joe's so I might swing in and see what they have, since I was OOT and didn't do grocery shopping for this week.
I have brats out for Jordan and I but i have no ideas for whatelse to do.
I think we're going to do a cereal night. Big fancy dinner last night and a big casserole over the weekend (which reminds me i never put my lunch in the fridge today. eewwwww) sorry. I'm no help.
I have the same fears starsailor about my crockpot. I won't even leave an appliance running when I go to work, including the dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc. Call me crazy, but I hate to think of my animals in a blazing fire while I'm at work. I only crockpot on the weekends.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
starsailor- I use my crockpot all the time.
If this makes you feel better, If you are using it in your kitchen it should be connected to a grounded outlet and if anything should happen the outlet would cut out.
I think we are having ham and pineapple pizza and cake! Dh bought the cutest little cake for valentine's day but we weren't hungry so decided to save it.
Tacos. I'm pretty excited. We haven't done taco night in a while.
I also use my crockpot all the time. I love it and I've never had any problems.

I use my Crockpot all the time when I'm not home and have never had a problem. but the first few times a was nervous too.
We're having chicken nuggets and mac & cheese.....cause we're 5.
Ditto Eva - we use the crockpot all the time. I make sure there's nothing near it just in case (paper towels for instance), but it's fine on the countertop. The GFCI outlet is another measure of protection.
Dinner tonight will be a peach Chobani and Merlot. Lots of Merlot. My second interview is in 1/2 hour and I just want to go home. It's looking more and more likely that many of us will be let go in this acquisition.

All your dinners sound delicious. Thank you for your reassurances about the crockpot. In my head I know it's okay, but it will just take a few times for me to get used to it.
Ditto
I decided to make jalapeno caribou hot dogs and oven fries.
Only because this left last nights leftover Indian food available for lunch, now that I know the new office has a microwave and fridge!
