People who drive you crazy...

I know we all have them. You know, the one person who can take a great moment to an awkward moment with a few words. The person who always knows the one thing to say to pi$$ you off. And this person has done this to you so many times that even a small thoughtless comment seems highly offensive.

So, who drives you crazy and what was the last thing they did that bothered you?

Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!

Re: People who drive you crazy...

  • Well, for me it is my SIL.She is a very bright person with several degrees, but she has no tact or social skills. And neither does her husband for that matter. When DH and I announced we were pregnant with Evan it was a few weeks after their wedding (we purposely didn't announce it at or before their wedding as to not steal their thunder) and BIL said,  "I just became a husband."

DH and I have been trying to figure out what to do for Evan's 2nd birthday since we don't have any other kids in the family and his party will be 9 adults and him. We also have some awkard family situations with divorce, so I didn't want to just sit and mingle at the house. So last night we finally decided to take everyone to the HMNS Sugar Land for a few hours and then do lunch and cake at home. I was so happy and excited that Evan will have something fun to do.

SIL's full response: "I'm confused. I thought we were doing something at your house."

    UGH! She drives me crazy!

  • It's probably easier today to list the people who don't.

My sister is always at the top of the list. She can exhale and I'm ready to punch her in the face.

  • The number one person on my list and always will be is my Mother, hands down. I call her in the morning a bit after DS gets up ever day to "check in" so to speak. She is 72 years old, still lives in my childhood home....alone aside from 2 dogs and 3 cats in my home state of PA and about 10 minutes drive from the nearest small town. If anything happened to her, know one would know. Anyway,She drives me crazy most by being so contradictory in just about everything she says. She's known to contradict herself within the same sentence, No, it isn't old age, she just has always been that way. We also have argued, according to her, since I could speak. I have no other siblings, so it's not like she will actually get other view points and when people do actually have the new to speak up, then we are all against her rather than actually listening to our view point we are just all against her or if my DH has had enough and speaks up, he's only saying it because he's my DH. Ummm...no, he can form his own opinions and actually is normally against me! Thank you very much, Mom!

In the past I have threaten to no speak to her again until she agreed to family counseling. I have have never met anyone who drives me as insane as her. The fact that doesn't hear a lot of what i say and then refuses to admit it makes it worse. That argument goes in circles until is comes back to her having a busted eardrum so she probably didn't hear all i said, but instead of admitting it when I say I've mentioned something before, she'll just argue with me and say i never said it! The one time she had me so mad I was literally pulling at my hair.

My co-irker, though, is at the top of my list.

  • My sister.  Love her, but she makes me insane.

  • My son and the IRS are tied for number one right now. I would be scared to know what my blood pressure is right now.

  • My IL's (mil, fil and sil) would top my list. Well my FIL would but we don't interact with him much so I guess that's not so bad. But my MIL is so passive aggresive and there's always underlying intent with her. My SIL is so, well, I can't even explain that one but it involves much eye rolling.

  • How could I forget MIL?  I love her and she really does mean well, but good gravy.  I know some of you have met her and you can attest that I am not just being a witchy DIL.

  • My cousin. She always turns anything I say into me attacking her or being the "victim". She cannot handle when someone disagrees with her or has a different opinion. But that does not stop her from cussing you out when she disagrees with you. I just wish she would grow up and quit being so fake. Angry
