That whole story is HILARIOUS! If I was her I wouldn't color a powercat so I understand where she is coming from!
I don't get why a teacher would "make" the kids color a sports mascot like that. Kansas City is smakc in the middle of a 200ish mile radius that encompasses Kansas State, Kansas, and Missouri so there are fans for all schools in the KC area.
I don't think the girl should of had to apologize. I think the teacher should of apologized for not giving them ample options.
ETA: The Jayhawks beat the Wildcats on Monday night!!!!
Yeah, if you tried to have a lesson of coloring a Duck (or a Beaver), no choice, in ANY city in Oregon, you'd have people up in arms! Not a very fair assignment.
