My hubby and I are on the younger end of the age spectrum and have been happily married for 6 months. We live with his parents currently and have been planning our move for sometime this summer/early fall. We are both financially responsible and independent of his parents but we help them with rent, bills, groceries etc. Both of us also have plans for furthering our education soon, graduate school for me and culinary school for him. Though planning to move has been in the works for almost a year, now we are not sure if we should continue on the path of getting our own place, or stay where we are for a little longer while pursue our education. my husband is very financially cautious and does not want to move until we're sure we can support ourselves. I think that we'll never be ready until we do it, but also understand his point of view. We have a great relationship with is parents and they are in no rush to see us leave, but at the same time, we do want that separate living space as a married couple. I'm just not sure if we can have our cake (have our own place, not struggle to pay for it, and pursue our education) and eat it too.
Thoughts?
