Since I can't stop looking at houses online (God help me, I have a problem - do you think there is a 12 step program or something?) I have finally gone and done the one stupid thing I didn't want to ever happen.
I have fallen in LOVE, head over heals, with a house.
It is the one that Nana OMGed about last week in Broomfield, and now they have dropped the price a touch too.
KILLING ME!!!
I want to set fire to the Tree House or something.
I know we COULD go ahead and get a house without selling the condo - but I also know it won't be our primary plan of attack.
I love you house - I am sure you will make a very lucky family very happy.

I said it on FB but I'm saying it again. . . DOOOO IIIITTTTTT!!! Put the Treehouse on Craigslist - just as a test. See how many potential renters you get. Come to the North side, we want you, you want to, you found the perfect house, it's meant to be!!
(Ok, that *might* be a tiny be selfishly motivated. Maybe. But I still think you should do it!)
No more baby siggie pics. Boo.
(inserted). now link it!

I really like the layout of it - much more than ours actually. (Not that we're moving, maybe ever)
I forget how big Broomfield is sometimes. In my mind, it goes from the Event Center area past old town area (Midway) to the "new builds" off 287, and extends to Sheridan. LOL

Uh, when I was growing up we lived near 136th and Sheridan and that was the edge of the universe. The area of the event center was just another horse pasture, and 144th was a dirt farm road on the way out to my friend's grandparents' place in Brighton. And Midway wasn't "old town" it was just "town". As in "we need to go into town to the Yellow Front, the Drug Store, and the Post Office." (since the part of Northmoor we lived in didn't have paved roads or mail boxes yet, we had to go and get our mail back when the post office was over near the old bowling alley.)
I still can't believe my parents live where they do (north of 144th) and it is called "Broomfield".

Oh, I LOVE it! It's actually a really similar layout to our house, and it just works SO well, And you'd be like 10 mins away from me, and we go to the Rec Center at 132nd & Lowell ALL THE TIME. Love the big U-shaped kitchen - so much counter space! And that tub? Hello??? It screams Keri. I agree, take Todd and just have a little look - it might be enough to convince you to find a renter (which, BTW, I think would be WAY easier then you think!).

That is a well-staged house and looks great! Get on it before it sells!
I think you would have an easy time renting out the treehouse. DOOOO IT!
my read shelf:
I couldn't help but look at the link...I'm a sucker for looking at listings still and we're under contract for a house in a different state?!
ETA: It's just 2 miles east from where my cousin's lived and they loved that area and it was such a friendly neighborhood to raise their 4 boys (transferred to CA now)!
Oh and the TV/library/office room would look much better with smaller Treehouse-sized furniture around the TV/library and a Coop play area where that giant couch is against the wall before the office area.
Are you united with the CCOKCs?
Todd was just asking me last night why I had not made the appointment with you - bad Keri!!
I sent you an email just a second ago.

I have this addiction too. Now that we have a baby, I keep looking around my tiny townhouse trying to figure out how we're going to cram more things in here (like toys when he actually starts playing with them). And how sad I am that we don't have a backyard for him to play in.
I even have the app on my droid to look at houses when I'm not sitting at a computer. It's that bad.
