So, I got offered the job from the interview.
But I'm not going to take it. Ultimately, it wouldn't be a good fit. And, as much as I want a job, taking a job that would be a terrible fit wouldn't do anyone favors I think.
However, I am going to parlay a lot of the advice that many of you gave me and keep looking.
So, thanks again ladies! I definitely heard all your advice. It's so awesome to be able to get advice & wisdom from SO MANY strong, successful and smart women.
Re: FU career fair/interview
Ditto cheeky! So glad the experience was good for you - you got practice, and encouragement that you'll rock your future employer's world! If you can think of a symbol for the confidence I hope you're feeling, keep it somewhere noticeable for your next opportunity.
Thanks everyone. I'm pretty sure I would have ultimately been miserable in the position. I decided that just wasn't worth it for me. i'm also pretty sure the hours would have made my husband miserable.
So, I've decided my "job" for right now is going to be networking like crazy. kastle will be coming to a GTG near you to practice amongst friendly faces! I've already started casting out the net & got an opportunity from a former teacher. It's a small free-lance type thing but it'll be good experience.
