WTF??? video game birthday parties.
Re: WTF??? video game birthday parties.
*always remembering Annaleigh Lucy*
That's what I said!!! It can drive on over to my place anytime....
Sign me up!!! Where is this?
I don't know that I see it as much different than a party at say, chuck e cheese where the kids are playing arcade games. Dependingo nt he games they're playing, I could also see that at elast the kids are on the couch playing together. My husband would love a gaming party and he and the guys get together every now and then where they've either dragged their computers to each other's houses or are camped out in fron the tv playing games against each other so there's still interaction. I'd prefer a more physically active party personally when my son is older, like playing laser tag or something, but I'd be ok with this.
As for the spa bus, I'm all for that! Can it come to my house???
My 8 yr old nephew had it, and then we got it for my BIL's 30th Birthday Party, both groups had a blast. I dont see it any different then Chucky Cheese other then you dont have to cover yourself in antibacterial soap when you are done. I dont think 2 hours of video games will rot a kids brain or make them obese, its just something for a fun birthday party.
my son's school skews a little crunchy, so i would hesitate at first, but no different than a movie theatre party...the boys would LOVE IT. Now that I read more about it, I might give it some serious thought for his next party.
I like this idea. Similarly to the fun bus, it give parents kid free time :-)
why has no one posted any additional details about this???!!!
D wanted one this year for his b-day, but then changed his mind. It worked out well because a boy in his class had the party the day before Declan's party - so it would have been back to back.
The kids did have a great time. They did interact as they all switched systems, partners, etc.

We had actually looked into a franchise for a bit
The one I know of is called "Spa-rty". It came to work once when I worked at Spa Finder. Personally I think Spa Finder could've sprung for something better but it was fine.
How did I miss that? Thanks!!
