Well, that's annoying (WWH&FD?)

I brought my stuff to run during my planning period today because I have an after school commitment until about 7.  I brought everything but my bra, which is sort of the most important part. So annoying, though...I'd even girded myself for the treadmill in the hot ass weight room.

Options are:

a) run when I get home at 7:30 

b) switch today with tomorrow's rest day and run my 4 miles tomorrow (which will mean rearranging my day, but it totally doable)

  • Run tomorrow.  That is what I would do because after a certain hour in a day, I am just done for and will not get in a run by 7:30.
  • Can you run in the bra you have on? I've done that before.  It's certainly not ideal but it wasn't as awful as I'd imagined.

    Otherwise I'd probably push it until tomorrow.

  • I'd just switch my run to Friday.  As much as I'd like to say I would run at 7:30pm, I know I would get home and not do it.  Or you can just see how you feel come 7:30pm.  If you want to run, run!  If not, you have tomorrow to fall back on.

    I've done this too, although it can be a problem if you have to go back to work with a stinky bra. I switch days around all the time, so I'd probably go that route.

    I would switch it till tomorrow.

  • I would say I was going to run at 7:30 when I got home and then when I got home I would be all super tired and cranky and hungry so I'd waffle a bit about running an eat a snack and procrastinate.  then one of two things would happen:

    1) I would suck it up and run at like 8PM and eat dinner after.

    2) I would get myself a glass of wine and say 'I'll run tomorrow' knowing full well that I don't run on Fridays like ever.  

    that's what I would do.  

    I think you should plan on 7:30 with a friday as a back-up plan.

    I think we are the same person.  I HAAAAATE running on Fridays, which is why I'm waffling.

  • That does suck.  I got pulled into a meeting and missed my gym time today, so I'm going to have to run after I put my DD to bed tonight (8:30).  I'd vote for running when you get home.  It sucks and is hard to make yourself do it, but at least then you'd have tomorrow as a back up. 
  • Haha- I agree with ebeth. Try to coax yourself to run tonight, but if you're really not feeling it than make sure you go on Friday. Sorry you forgot the bra. It's so frustrating when you forget something critical!

  • the last time I ran on friday I had to bribe myself with the promise of a bacon cheeseburger after.  maybe try that. 

    or you could get the 4 in this weekend as a post long recovery.  

    or you could just scrap the 4 miler entirely depending where you are on the marathon training plan run skipping slippery slope.
