Thankful Thursdays, anyone?

I'll go first.

So thankful for my wonderful hubby who treats me so well.

All 4 of us are healthy and well.

Dinner in the crockpot= minimal work to get dinner on the table.

Finally got caught up on laundry yesterday!

Your turn....

Re: Thankful Thursdays, anyone?

  • Today is my Friday and I get to leave early.

I get to have lunch with my favorite people tomorrow

We only have two planned activities this weekend = actually having family time.

My girls have started clearing the dishwasher together every day without prodding

  • Thankful that after 4 weeks I am feeling energy and health again. I can't believe how much those head colds zapped the life out of me.

Thankful for a crock-pot dinner too, especially after cooking every night so far this week (That energy transpired into a menu for the week on Sunday, but it is definitely more effort than just cooking mac and chees out of the box).

  • My hearing and travel next week got cancelled, so I've got extra time the next few days.

I'm off for the next 4 days, so I will have time to relax and catch up on sleep.

DS seems to really like the new teacher at daycare, and DD seems to have a great time there, too.

  • I am thankful for the power of The Nana.  My mom is with us while Todd is OOT, and also with Coop during the days right now, and she knows all of the sicky kiddo tricks of the trade to help him feel better.  I wish he would turn the corner and start to feel better, but until then,  I am so thankful he has the extra lovin' care of his Nana. (It doesn't hurt that I have some time with my mommy too, because she is awesome and I love her so.)

I am thankful for all of the promise I can see for our little family right now - I always know it is out there, but sometimes it is really nice to get an actual glimpse of what could be coming up.

I am thankful for Nesties - for lots of big and little reasons, pretty much every day.

  • I'm thankful for the paint going up in our basement today and for the family that's helping DH get it done since I can't be down there.

I'm thankful for a last minute road trip to visit our little nephew before he's all grown up.

I'm thankful DD is happy and healthy and good at entertaining herself for a little while when mommy doesn't feel good.

  • I am so very thankful that is appears we are getting a renter tomorrow!!!

And that DD didn't cry when I dropped her off at daycare - I think she is finally getting used to it there.

  • I'm thankful for my new kitchenaid mixer (now I understand why you all thought I was crazy for not registering for one!)  And that my husband bought the pasta maker attachement.  And that we can have pasta every day (his words) once the attachment comes.

Pasta every day makes for a very happy asil!

  • I am thankful for cortisone shots.

  • I'm thankful for my husband, who makes me laugh and does the dishes because he knows how much I hate doing them.

I'm thankful for my parents, who are, once again, coming to the rescue.

I'm thankful it's Thursday, and DD is chilling with MIL for a few hours. I needed a little break from my velcro babe!

I'm thankful that, at least for right now, we have roof over our heads, food in the pantry, and the lights are still on. Thinking about "tomorrow", when those things aren't as certain gives me heart palpitations most days, but today I'm just thankful for what we still have.

  • I'm thankful that we bought the house we did, and that it has held onto its value the way it has. We had an appraisal last week for a re-fi, and it actually increased in value a little bit since we bought in 2006. I know that's not the norm since the housing bust, and I'm grateful.

I'm thankful that my mom still includes V-day treats for DH and me, along with our girls, in her packages. I'm a grown-up and all, but I still love that feeling of opening something special from my mom. :)

  • I'm SO thankful for the people who responded to my plea for help, including several Nesties.

I'm thankful for my little house.  I bought in a great location a while ago and it is my security blanket.  It needs some fixes but it's still standing.

I'm SO thankful for all the orders that have been coming in- big and small they are adding up.

I'm thankful for my poor old car.  Again, she needs some fixes but she keeps on running at over 242k miles.

  • I'm thankful for DH.  He's being ultra supportive right now, and it means the world to me the sacrifices he's making.

I'm thankful for doggy day-care.  I love when my pup is so tired from a good day of running and playing.

  • I'm grateful for a boss that understands that when you take care of a sick kid, you often get sick as well, and doesn't hassle me about being out on two different days this week provided the work keeps getting done. Makes for an incredibly loyal employee.

  • I'm thankful that we all have our health (not a small thing).

I'm thankful for my amazing husband who loves me and E, who appreciates everything I do and who is so wonderful, every day.

I'm thankful for dear friends, near and far, real life and virtual, who help me to be a better parent through their experience.

I'm thankful that we are at a place in life where I am able to work part-time and spend so much time with my sweet baby, and I'm also incredibly thankful that we both have jobs that are relatively stable.

I'm thankful that E slept for 7.5 hours straight last night! Yay!
