Why is it that people seem to want to start political arguements?
I posted on MY FB that you can get a free Obama sticker. Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a firm supporter of the Obama administration, and would like to see him get a second term.
I have plenty of friends that are republicans, and if they're supporting their candidate, I would never post anything that would be derogitory, or even voice that I disagree.
Am I the weird one? I never post anything political simply to get a reaction, it's all info based.
Re: Why is it?
Meh, you sound like you have a decent grip on who your FB friends are, thus who will see you post that. And it's a free, public and easy-to-use forum for them to voice the reasons why they think someone shouldn't support a candidate they happen to not want.
For my part, I usually will only post on someone else's politically-related status if I am extraordinarily impassioned about it, or if I see something I think is incredibly skewed/incorrect (e.g. a Snopes rebuttal would be appropriate). Otherwise I just move on to the next status. My cousin, on the other hand, likes to respond often and in ALL CAPS.
Katie Talks About...
I honestly don't see anything wrong with this.
Lisa - I wish the only thing my republican friends posted was a link to a free bumper sticker.
See, you're one of my favorite people on FB with regards to politics. ANything that's political that you've posted is actually interesting. Even if I don't agree. And it's never offensive. I've never once seen a post from you that says "Obama Sucks"...that being said, maybe I should figure out how to change my siggy line...
FB tends to be a political soapbox, and those who yell the most/loudest feel that they've somehow won.
My brother, with whom I share many beliefs, is one of those people. I tried telling him once that people aren't going to change their minds that way, but he keeps going.
::Sigh::
PHOTOS REMOVED
I am so tired of people doing this. I started just blocking friends that do this. I don't want to respond exactly because of the reason you mentioned above.
Amen!
