Anything exciting going on this weekend?

Or even un-exciting?

My ILs are flying in on Saturday morning and DH won't be home til late Saturday night - if at all - and I need to come up with something to keep them entertained during the day Saturday....

We're planning on hitting a couple of museums on Sunday assuming DH actually makes it home, and then he's taking them to Annapolis on Monday.

Any festivals or fairs or exhibits going on that you know of?

  • we have Spy Museum groupon-things, and I really want to see the Annie Liebowitz exhibit. That presumes I can get John into the city. Oy, that boy.

  • There's a Groupon today for $10 tickets to Madame Tussauds- we went there a few years ago and it was cool. Also, at the Museum of the American Indian there's an exhibit about horses that's very interesting. DH and I looked at it for maybe an hour to an hour and a half last Saturday and still didn't see it all. Finally, there was just a write-up in the Express today about the exhibit of Egyptians and the afterlife at the natural history museum- that one's on my must-see list.

  • Thanks ladies!

All great suggestions!  Definitely gives me a starting point!

I haven't been to the National Gallery yet, that could be a definite contender.

it is a collection of her photos of American places- niagara falls, Monticello, ansel Adams studio, etc- no celebrities. We saw it a few weekends ago and it was nice but it is only 60 photos. I enjoyed other parts of the portrait gallery more.

I highly recommend it.  I took my sister there last time she visited and we both loved it.  And, of course, it's free.

Sarah (sarahelisabethm)'s book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
