Thanks, ladies! I am ready to be on our way. The details are getting to me and I'm turning into a ball of nerves. Once we are on the ground there, and over jet lag, I will be excited. Now? I just want the next month to go quickly and smoothly!

Regular PCS moves are stressful, but the OCONUS aspect ads layers and layers. DH typically deals with most of it, but there have been things either we've had to do together (getting both sets of passports for us all) or that I've done on my own (the EFMP screening, which was a nightmare). We're getting it done, but I'm ready for it to be ALL done!

I am grateful for this opportunity. I never considered that we'd have this chance, given DH's rank and career field (there aren't too many of these positions out there). I am scared, especially since DH will be deploying soon, but the opportunities afforded to us are incredible! I just have to get through the next couple of months. It will be worth it, it will be worth it, it will be worth it. . .

It will be worth it!!  You will get through the next couple of months, one day at a time, and then you will be a wonderful adventure.  I'm a bit envious!!

Sorry to hear the screening was a nightmare.  I hope it all pays off in the end for you.  I never got to see Germany but everyone I've known who went there said they loved it.  Good luck!!

AAAHHH Germany is amaaaazing! I lived there for (roughly) 8 years total with the military. Amazing. 

I miss that place so much, as do all the people I know that once lived there.

I'm going to miss you, too! I have realized that the reason I feel terrible is allergy related--totally NOT contagious. But, I still feel gross. We are going to have to get together before we leave. My LO is going to be so sad to move away from his friends. (As will his mama. The Laurie Berkner song/video Family played on Nick Jr yesterday, and it totally made me cry. The line, "If you're in my heart, you are my family." totally did me in! Gah! This is going to be so difficult!)
