Top Chef - Thoughts? *Spoilers*

What did you guys think??

I don't think Bev should have gone home - from everything they said, she had the better dish (IMO).  I think it's Paul's to win, and I hope he does more than anything.  I also really don't like how it's the three of them...seems almost like they planned it.

This episode was also total nostalgia for me - it's my hometown (Vancouver) and I've spent a lot of time in Whistler.  Makes me wish I was home, so so much!

Re: Top Chef - Thoughts? *Spoilers*

  • I agree with you - I thought Sarah should have gone home.

honestly, I can't wait until this season is over, lol.

  • Paul has always been the front runner.  I've always liked him, even more after he helped Bev and Sarah with their ice blocks :D  While my husband thinks that was stupid, I agree with the mentality that I want to win because my best was better than everyone else's best.  Win because you have the best dish, not because your competitors didn't have food on their plates.

I was really hoping Bev would make it.  It seems like she had a hard life growing up and no one has been particularly nice to her. She seems to be a great chef, just a bit scattered and lacking confidence.  I would have loved for her to knock Sarah out- now that would have been Karma! :D I thought she did too, based on what they said about the two dishes.

I would love Paul to win. I'd be fine with Lindsay winning. I just don't want Sarah to win.

  • Most.ridiculous.challenges.ever.  When did the show become Top Chef Survivor?

This season has been riddled with ridiculous challenges....so much so that I don't think the chefs really had much of a chance to prove whether or not they were top chef worthy.

There were one or two challenges where I thought 'now we get to see what they can really do...', and the judges were amazed at the great food that the chefs turned out.  Of course they went right back to stupid challenges with too many limitations the next week, and then the crazy competitions last night that had nothing to do with cooking skills.  It actually makes me kind of angry for all of the competitors this season.

  • I agree as well, Sarah should have gone home.  If anything, just to split her and Lindsey up! LOL!!

I really hope Paul wins.  I've been pulling for him all along.

  • I don't think Sarah should have made it to the finals and would rather see Bev there.  Regardless, I'm rooting for Paul!
  • I thought Last Chance Kitchen was stupid, so I was happy to see Bev go home again.

The scenery made me want to go skiing!

I hope Paul wins it all.

  • I was disappointed to see Bev eliminated. I have had a hard time paying attention to the episodes when I watch. This has been my least favorite season of Top Chef. I totally agree that the challenges are not really about cooking.

Completely agree. I sincerely hope that for the finale(s) they go back to "cook the best meal of your life." This other crap is completely ridiculous.

  • I also hope that they go back to "cook the best meal of your life".  I don't know why I like Lindsey but I do.  I'd be fine with Paul winning.  Just anyone but Sarah and I was kind of sad to see Bev go.  Again.
