At 5am this I was dreaming about fitting a big gas BBQ into an old VW rabbit when I was awoken by our oldest coming into our room. B couldn't speak since he was wheezing so hard to just try to get a breath. We immediately gave him two treatments of his brother's steroid nebulizer treatment. After the second, he could breathe and talk at the same time. I know you shouldn't share medicine, but I've never been happier that we had some lying around so we didn't have to run off to the ER with a barely breathing kiddo.
I think it's just croupy-ish (hoping it's not pertusis or pnemonia), but we'll find out soon since the answering service is having the doc call when he gets into the office this morning, which should be any minute.
Honestly, I know we would have likely been the only ones in the ER and seen right away here in MT, but I'm also glad that we didn't have to rush off and avoided a lot of stress and extra money spent.

Yikes, that would be scary.
Granted, I have no medical training, but I would think it's better to give a bigger kid medicine dosed for a smaller one anyway.
