Okay, help me create a price list

So I'm getting the ball rolling on this home waxing thing. I'd rather people come to me but I will offer "on location" for more than one service. I know what I charge at the salon but don't know what to charge for home services. More? Less? I can get away w/ less since I'd be pocketing all of it and I think it would be a way to get more clients, right? Help me out. What would you want to pay for....

  • I think it should be a little less than salon pricing. I also think you'll get different answers depending on where people are located. Looking at what the previous poster listed, I pay a lot less than that in salon for the services I do regularly.

  • I think it should be a little less than salon pricing too, but you also have to factor in your driving distance, etc. (don't remember if you'll have a limit to where you'll go).

Although, honestly, I'd be willing to pay the same as the salon for having the services done in my own home.

  • i have to agree with deb...i think the further north the person lives, the higher the price yuo're going to get...the way i would approach it is look at your price list at the salon, if the salon gets 20% of that, i would mark your price down by 10%...if you have to go to them, then the full salon price...

also another thing to consider...i know the salon i go to has fired people for doing stuff like this bc it has pulled from the customer base, so just be careful with how you handle existing customers and that they know to be careful with what they say...
