Quick Dinner in FoCo?

DH and I will be driving through Ft. Collins tonight and want to grab a quick dinner (hopefully something we can eat in the car).

Any great finds beyond the chains?  The only time I'm ever up there is for swim meets at Edora, so I don't know anything about the area.

  • Hmmm, off the interstate there isn't much but Harmony would be your best bet. Here are some local restaurants I can think of starting with those closest to the interstate:

Cafe Athens- Greek (Front Range Village, by Super Target, Harmony/Ziegler)

East Moon- Asian (Just before Timberline on Harmony)

    Spoons- Soups and salads (Timberline/Harmony)

    Fiona's- Fancy sandwiches (Lemay/Harmony by Kohls/Sams Club)

  • If you drive down College your options open up a lot. Nearest College/Prospect is Cane's. They have awesome chicken fingers, they only do chicken fingers. There is also a Lark Burger on College/Drake. A fish and chips place on College just a few blocks south of Drake. Also there is Cafe Mexicali a few block south of Fish and Chips place on College/Swallow.

  • Also, right off of Harmony by SuperTarget is a Panera, 5 Guys, Silvermine Subs and some new pizza place by Sephora.  Opposite side of street there is a Subway and new coffee place(I can't think of the name).   If you drive maybe a 1/8 mile down--if that--there is a Smashburger, Pulcinella's pizza that sells slices, Wahoo's.

    Hope that helps!

  • Awesome, thanks!  We're open to driving a bit, as we only plan to make it to Cheyenne tonight.

  • If you are heading up I-25, you'll have to head into town a bit for something non fast food.  There is a pretty good mexican restaurant on the Windsor exit, Pueblo Veijo (sp?).  Otherwise, I agree to head down Harmony into the south part of town.  There are lots of options there at Front Range Village.  I love Cafe Athens for greek, but might be hard in the car.  There is a new place called Shwamerize It but I'm not sure if it's open yet.  Looks good though, good reviews (there is one across town by campus too).  There is a Five Guys, and a HuHot express that's good (Mongolian).

If you want to stop and sit down, there is Zquila for mexican, or East Moon for asian or sushi.  Or Famous Dave's for bbq.

Fiona's is awesome sandwiches, soups but they are a little further down. Spoons is also good for soup/salads.
