PhotoShop Element Software

Is this something that is good for someone who doesn't need the pro version? The Element is on 69.99 on Amazon today.

Re: PhotoShop Element Software

  • Yup, I'd snag that up.
  • So what's the best way to learn how to use this program then?  I have this software and have tried using it once or twice, but have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.  Are there any good tutorial books?  Or should I take a class??

I've heard great things about Scott Kelby.  Appears this is his book for PSE, version 9, but it should have all of the same information.

But I would personally take a class.  :)

  • I would only take a class if it's specific to Elements. Lynda.com has lots of tutorials and it does a good job... then you can do it on your time.

  • There are also "Classroom in a book" books on Photoshop that are great. They come with a CD/DVD tutorial and you work through the book, but you would have to find one for elements because it is VERY different from CS5.
