Restaurant recs along I-10
We are taking my mom out for her birthday on Sunday. I'm trying to find a place preferably around west houston because it's about a halfway point for everybody. Somewhere nice but kid friendly.
Don't say Taste of Texas or Brennan's. Been to both wasn't impressed.
TIA

Re: Restaurant recs along I-10
Are you talking about Bistro Alex? Brennan's is downtown. I thought the food at Bistro Alex was a huge disappointment.
I think there's a Brio Italian in City Centre, but I haven't been to that one. The one up here is good - not blow you away awesome, but I've never had anything bad there. And I think there's a Cyclone Anaya's out there too.
Let's see...
You have, in City Centre:
Yard House, Escalante's, Cyclone Anaya's
I-10/Gessner area:
Pappasito's
Pappadeaux
Chili's
Also, there is a Ciro's, Denni's Seafood and a Guadalajara off of I-10 and Bunker Hill, and an Olive Garden on the other side of I-10.
City Centre
and Perrys or if you go further down and want to try Mason Jar
Fleming's is right off the Beltway & I-10 (Closer to Memorail drive actually).
Didn't notice the seafood request. There is Goode Company Seafood off I-10 and Gessner I think.
We like Goode Company Seafood a lot, it's not really fancy but it's nice and the food is good. We've taken DS there a number of times, they have a big boat in the middle of the dining room, he loves it. There's also McCormick & Schmicks in City Centre.
isn't Eddie V's supposed to be good seafood? they're right near flemings.
Lupe's or there are a bunch of restaurants around there - Hwy6 and I-10. Maybe too far west though....
