As some of you may/may know, my DH has worked at Children's H.ospital for the past 10 years. Childrens H.ospital was the reason why we moved here from Tampa for his fellowship back in 2002.
After listening to Alice 105.9's "36 Hours for Kids" radio-thon (and after Noah being on the radio live yesterday afternoon with Slacker & Steve), I feel like I need to let you know why he's leaving such a wonderful hospital.
DH was offered the position of Director of Research for All Childrens H.ospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Johs Hopkins took over ACH a little over a year and a half ago and has been recruiting DH ever since. The timing just wasn't right until now.
Thanks for indulging me on bragging on DH (who I'm normally pretty hard on), and for allowing me to sing the praises of Childrens H.ospital. Zach and Cole were so excited about what Noah did yesterday that they asked to go to Childrens today so that they can empty their money jars, too.
Don't forget, no one ever plans on needing a Childrens Hospital. Life happens. Kids get sick, and unfortunately, some don't make it. Childrens does so much good for our community you have no idea (or, maybe you do). So, if you have a few spare dollars lying around, please think about making a donation. It ALL adds up.
If you're read this far, THANKS! Have a great weekend, ladies!

Are you united with the CCOKCs?
Yay for your DH. I'm glad your move is taking to you FL, a place you love. We'll all miss you dearly.
I've been donating monthly since I was pregnant with J (no pregnant lady should listen to that telethon without a ton of tissues, which is what I did on the way to work one day). I strongly believe in the work they do there. No child should ever go uncared for when they are ill.
