Where to Covert Slides to Pictures/DVD
I have a bunch of really old square films that were used to play in a slide show (I can't even think of the name of the machine!) on a projector back in the day. Do you know of any place that can convert them to a cd/dvd/prints? They are all from when Joe was a kid. I'd like a cd/dvd that I can use to put on the computer, but also was to be able to print out actual hard copies. I am in Western Monmouth County if that makes a difference.
TIA

slide projector. we just had a slide show a few weeks ago with my parents...lol
I bought my parents a converter a few years ago at Costco but they obv haven't gotten around to using it yet! but that's an idea.

I am in the process of converting a ton - like, thousands - of slides for our fmailies. It's going to take me until I'm 60, but I bought a good slide scanner for like $200 and I'm doing it myself. Or, you can spend like 50c/slide and pay a camera/film shop to do it for you (I think that was the going rate when I looked into it a few years ago). It's not cheap either way - either you're spending your time or you're spending your money on it. Both my family and Rob's have hundreds of slide carousels but the projectors broke, and the carousels are so old they don't fit into modern projectors, so we'd have to move them all to new carousels and get a new projector. It's a big task. But worth it, i think. Someday. In like 30 years. When I have it done, lol.
